The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva and other principal stakeholders in the Oil and Gas industry will address ‘front burner’ issues at the 2021 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Oloibiri Lecture Series and Energy Forum (OLEF) scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Abuja and with the theme “Operational Excellence and Portfolio Optimization. Way forward for the Oil and Gas Industry Post Covid19”.
Chief Sylva will be presenting an industry address at the event, while the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele Kyari is expected to give a keynote address on industry operations. The Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Mr. Sarki Auwalu will also deliver an address on the regulation of oil and gas industry operations in Nigeria.
According to the Chairman of SPE Nigeria Council, Mr. Akinwunmi Olatunji, the event will be in two sessions – energy forum and lecture series and the participants will be both physically and virtually, but a greater percentage of the participants will join online in compliance with Covid19 guidelines.
This event requires no paid registration, and all stakeholders in the energy industry including government and regulatory bodies, Joint Venture Operators, the academia, finance and insurance industry, etc. are free to attend.
