The member representing Isialangwa North State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Ginger Onwusibe, has informed the All Progressives Congress that they cannot rig election in his constituency come 2023.
Onwusibe while reacting to the rejection of the e-voting process by the APC during the 53rd birthday celebration of the House of Representatives member, Darlington Nwokocha, said the reason the opposition are against the electronic method of voting is because they want to rig the 2023 general elections, adding that they cannot succeed in Isialangwa North.
The lawmaker wondered why the APC would oppose the electronic process, when the world is advancing technologically.
He said he supports the process 100% and would do everything to advance it, adding that the country cannot afford to remain in a mundane age.
According to him, e-voting is the only way to vote out leaders who are not doing well, therefore, it should be adopted for the 2023 general elections.
He accused the APC of having plans to rig the 2023 general elections that is why they do not support the process.
Onwusibe, however, seized the opportunity to wish the member representing Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Darlington Nwokocha (Darloo), a happy 53rd birthday celebration, describing him as a selfless leader.
He commended Nwokocha for his diverse projects across the Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency, which he said would help to advance the people positively.
“Am happy over Darloo’s representation, this is unique. This is my kind of leadership style.
“I like to work. Am selfless. I like to empower my people. The essence of governance is to serve and use it to better the lives of the people you are leading.
“Hon Nwokocha is commissioning his first constructed mini stadium today, the Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly is also building one for his constituency, whereas I have successfully built two for my constituency. They took a leaf from me.”
Onwusibe disclosed that since he entered the House of Assembly, he has not done anything for himself, adding that he has been busy serving his people.
According to him, he would be commissioning a new health center soon amongst other people’s oriented projects.
In a similar development, the Adviser to the Governor on Internal Security, Ebere Nwachukwu and his counterpart, Prince Ogadinma Agbara, wished the lawmaker a hearty 53rd birthday celebration, lauding his numerous projects and empowerment.
They described Nwokocha as a good man, who would always want to empower his people so they can be self sufficient.
While urging the beneficiaries of his empowerment to make judicious use of the items, urged political office holders to take a leaf from Nwokocha, so that their tenure could be worthwhile.
Recall that the Federal Lawmaker recently used his 53rd birthday celebration to commission projects, as well as empower his people.
He built an ICT centre for his constituents, a mini stadium, garri processing centre, distributed 262 generators as well as 530 clippers, mini trucks to the different polling units in his constituency, so they can start-up a mobile barbing saloon.
