Other politicians who also emerged as standard-bearers on the platform of Accord Party in the state are Ikedi Emeka (Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency) and Ikenna Maurice Achilike (Owerri Federal Constituency).

Chief Nwachukwu described Accord as a party of proven integrity which observes due process during its primaries.

He further stressed the need for Imo people to register and obtain their permanent voters card, saying that the blueprint of the party’s manifesto is such that will change the state for the better.

Nwachukwu said, “I look forward to a victorious contest and I am ready to work with like minds to make impressive impacts that affect Owerri zone, Imo State and Nigeria in general”.

The candidate of the party for Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Ikedi Emeka expressed gratitude to the delegates for considering him worthy.

He assured the party faithful of winning the main election and the federal constituency and Imo State of offering quality representation.

On his part, Ikenna Maurice Achilike assured of changing the narrative in Owerri Federal Constituency.

He said; “I have come into politics to make a difference. We are tired of mediocrity occasioned by selfish politicians. I am ready to make it right.

“I went through and saw the foundation of Accord Party and its principles, that is why I am here. And it was only by my presentation and how I performed before them while consulting with the delegates that gave me the victory today.

“I am most grateful and I can’t afford to fail my people, Imo people and Nigerians in general.”

Chief Mike Nwachukwu contested the 2019 Senatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA but the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Ezenwa Onyewuchi was declared winner.
