The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, says he will not reject calls to contest for the presidency in 2023 but his political consultations are still on-going, as he will effectively and widely consult.
The All Progressives Congress stalwart stated this yesterday in Abuja after a closed door meeting with leaders of the Northern Alliance Committee, noting that he is yet to officially declare his ambition because he is still consulting with his friends and political associates and will find a date to come out openly and tell Nigerians.
He cautioned the political class against what he described as muddling the political waters.
While endorsing Bola Tinubu for the 2023 presidency ticket, Ambassador Lawal Munir, the leader of Northern Alliance Committee, NAC, announced that his group had a fruitful meeting with Bola Tinubu and resolved to work for the actualisation of the ambition of the APC national leader to the next level.
According to him, the Northern Alliance Committee, NAC, resolved to support Bola Tinubu come 2023 due to his superlative qualities and they will work for him because he will win the elections when the time comes.
In his remarks, the APC national leader said all hands must be on deck to assist the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, adding that he didn’t want to distract Mr President but will rather consult and make his agenda known to the people later and the intention is clear, so people should keep guessing.
