The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has told the frontline Igbo socio-cultural group, the Ohaneze Ndigbo, and politicians in the South East region of the country to stop begging northerners to support an Igbo candidate for President in 2023 because such request can never be granted to them.
IPOB also warned what they described as “self-acclaimed Igbo leaders and politicians” in the county to stop using their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as a negotiating point to get political positions for themselves.
In a statement released by Emma Powerful, IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, the group said its singular concern is the unconditional release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and will never be a party to their begging for a transient political office.
He advised Igbo leaders to support the agitation for a biafran nation instead of begging for the presidency position, noting that the Igbos can never be granted that office.
He charged the self-acclaimed Igbo leaders, who are desperate for power in 2023 to refrain from making utterances that make the entire Igbo race a laughing stock by the northerners.
According to IPOB, it is better Igbo politicians, businessmen, elders, traditional rulers, religious leaders and Igbo associations like the Ohaneze Ndigbo, should retrace their steps and carry themselves with dignity at all times.
They must realize that the Fulani cabal and northern oligarchy controlling Nigeria will never support or allow any Igbo man to become the President of Nigeria irrespective of how such a stooge wish to please them because they have bitterness against the Igbo. So it is better for us to focus on the struggle for Biafra restoration.
IPOB cautioned that any bargain that is against its divine mandate will not succeed, while Igbo elders, leaders, politicians, traditional rulers and institutions including the Ohaneze Ndigbo need to retrace their steps and come back, as there is no road in that path they are toeing.
