Prophet Gabriel Evans of His Majesty Evangelical Ministry has applauded the musical talents of controversial musician, Naira Marley, during a recent sermon.
The Pastor during a sermon referred to the artiste’s hit track ‘Aye’ (literarily meaning Life), released in 2020 which has more than 5 million views on YouTube. . He said even though Naira Marley may be seen smoking cannabis, some of his tracks convey deep messages.
“That boy only smokes weed, he’s in his right senses. Naira Marley, his head is intact. Aye Yi o le (Life is not hard), Aye lo may le (The people of the world makes life hard), Ninu aye lo ti di f’aye (Inside life makes it hard for life), Aye Yi o le (Life is not hard).
“Eyin le ma sin Iya yin (You all will bury your mothers). Or you don’t want to bury your mother?” Evans asked the congregation.
Recall that a video of guests vibing to Naira Marley’s song at President Muhammadu Buhari’s wedding made rounds on social media. Enthusiastically the artiste said he would have loved to be present at the wedding.
Naira Marley while sharing the video clip said: “This was at Buhari’s son’s wedding yesterday in Kano. I’m a certified hitmaker apparently; anytime you hear Naira Marley your home training must Japa.
“I wish I was at this wedding sha looks too fun, I love them in the North and they love me too”.
