The abducted Chairman of Okigwe Council of Traditional Rulers in Imo State, HRH Eze Acho Ndukwe has regained his freedom 24 hours after.

Eze Ndukwe was kidnapped alongside, Eze Paul Ogbu of Ihitte Ihube Autonomous Community on Sunday, December 12.
Eze Ogbu may still be in his captors’ den as nothing was said about him by the authorities.
Ndukwe, Chairman of Genesis Hotel, Okigwe, who is also the monarch of Amagu Ihube Autonomous Community, was rescued on Monday by operatives of a joint security team.

The traditional ruler who was kidnapped on Sunday had his palace and vehicle razed by his abductors.
Eze Ogbu’s palace and vehicle were similarly torched by the hoodlums, who were said to have posted a notice on an electric pole that they unleashed their venom on the traditional rulers following their refusal to support separatist agitation.
Our correspondent gathered that the Amagu Ihube Community erupted in celebration following the release and return of Eze Ndukwe.
Indigenes of the community expressed their happiness that their traditional ruler could walk free again.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, Michael Abattam also confirmed the release of the monarch.
Recall that traditional rulers in the state have come under severe attacks from hoodlums.
The miscreants besides kidnapping Eze Damian Nwaigwe of Mbutu Ancient Kingdom and Eze Henry Madumere of Ezi-Mbieri Autonomous Community shot and killed Eze Anayo Durueburuo of Okwudor Autonomous Community, Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowere Autonomous Community and Eze Edwin Ezike of Atta Community.
