The streets of Umuahia again are being deserted following the sit at home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, making it the second sit at home order observed since this week began.

The group made the order that everyone in the South Eastern region should observe a sit at home any time its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would be arraigned in the court.
Our reporter who went round some streets of Umuahia, said movement is minimal, as business places are all shut down in honour of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (MNK), who reports have it that, has appeared before the court in Abuja.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is currently in the custody of DSS in Abuja, was rearrested months ago for jumping bail and other offences.

Meanwhile, the members of the Indigenous of People of Biafra in a Press Release last month, threatened that the whole South East would be shut down for another one month, if Mazi Kanu, does not appear before the court today.
Recall that the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, since he was arraigned before a court in Abuja, has not been allowed to appear before the court, even when he is in Abuja, under the custody of the Department of Security Services.
This has been brewing threats in different quarters, particularly among the members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, who stated that they are giving the Federal Government till 21st of October 2021, being today and if their Leader, Mazi Kanu is denied access to the court, then they would lock down the South East for the next one month.
Since the Leader of the IPOB was rearrested, his country home, Afaraukwu, Umuahia in Abia state and the entire South East have been saddened with his arrest.
