The Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the State, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 called off its industrial action which lasted for seven weeks.
It will be recalled that the Labour Unions of the University under the aegis of Joint Action Committee had, on April 19, 2021 downed their tools in protest against the payment of their salaries on percentage basis, non-payment of their leave grant and for the payment of their 11 months 25% salary arrears.
