The Al-Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahri, was seen in a video that was released as the US paid tribute to about 3000 persons who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attack.
The one who had orchestrated the attack, al-Zawahri, was shockingly found in a recently released video giving his group accolades.
An intelligence group that keeps track of jihadists’ website affirmed the video was released on Saturday, September 11, and this contradicts talks on the chief of Al-Qaeda having died from sickness in late 2020.
In the span of the 61 minutes 37 seconds video, the chief praised his people for raiding the Russian forces in Syria back in January.
The Director of SITE Intelligence Group explained the nuances of the video stating that the appearance of the chief in the video probably meant he was alive especially as he made references to events that took place after his claimed death month.
He reported however that since the chief made no mention of the victory of the Taliban in Afghanistan, while his broaching on the US leaving Afghanistan can be alluded to have been uttered in the February of 2020 linked to the Doha Agreement.
The director is concluding his observation with the fact that Zawahiri could be dead although the time of death could have been during or just after January 2021.
Nevertheless, the intelligence group is not able to prove or state as a matter of fact that the Al-Qaeda chief is dead as so much is still left in the atmosphere to contradict their analysis.
Lately, Jihadists and Al-Qaeda have been celebrating one of their biggest victories in decades which is the Taliban take over Afghanistan.
