Algerian Football Federation “banned“ Two TV Journalists From National Coach’s Press Conference

Once again sports journalists have been temporarily banned from exercising their profession due to authoritarianism that nothing can justify.

Algerian Football Federation “banned“ Two TV Journalists From National Coach’s Press Conference

The Association of Algerian Sports Journalists (AJSA) learned, in fact, with astonishment that colleagues from Ennahar TV, MM. Mustapha Mazouzi and Kamel Mehoui, were “prevented” by the Algerian Football Federation from attending the press conference of the national team coach, Djamel Belmadi, today in Algiers.

This behaviour of certain officials of the FAF (Algerian Football Federation) – if it is not an order emanating from the president himself – comes into contradiction with the citizen’s right to information enshrined in the laws of the Republic. As a result, it is not up to any entity or structure to be judged or justice itself except to comply with the regulations in use, namely the “right of reply” or to go to the competent courts.
