Valentine Ozigbo, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election has expressed dismay over the current high level of infrastructure decay in the state and said Anambra State is in dire need for a total overhaul.

According to the governorship hopeful, there is nothing to be proud of in Anambra State today as majority of the roads are bad; security is at an all-time low; healthcare is non-existent; while the education system in the state is moribund and the state’s debt profile is on the increase. He further cited the road in Amansea as an example of the dearth of infrastructure in the state.
Speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party, Secretariat at Udoka Estate, Awka, where hundreds of party faithful were on ground to welcome him, Ozigbo described his governorship project as a divine mandate which will right the wrongs of the present government in the state, adding that the state needs a total overhaul.

Ozigbo also accused the party at the centre of making moves to undermine the democratic process in the state by attempting to keep non-sensitive materials for the state November 2021 governorship election in Imo State.
He explained that the priority of his party and campaign council presently is to mobilize people to vote because he believes that with the massive support of the people, he will emerge victorious at the November 6, election.
He stressed the need to get things right now, noting that November 6, 2021 is their freedom ticket and a date with history and they are ready to match to victory.
Some PDP supporters at the Secretariat expressed confidence that the governorship candidate would emerge victorious at the state November 6 governorship polls with his revolutionary “Ka Anambra Chawapu” message, which they said is fast becoming a household slogan.
