The Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, an umbrella body for the governors elected under the All Progressives Congress, APC, has acknowledged and commended President Muhammadu Buhari for what they described as his patriotic leadership, vision and commitment to a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The All Progressives Congress governor’s commendation was contained in a statement issued by Governor Abubakar Bagudu, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, to felicitate with President Buhari on his 79th birthday.
The APC governors described President Buhari as their role model and a source of inspiration and therefore, reaffirmed their commitment to work under the leadership of Mr. President with the abiding faith and belief that the initiatives of the All Progressives Congress government will meet all the expectations of Nigerians.
They noted that the world has been challenged with nation specific issues in the last few years, but President Buhari has remained committed to his vision and patriotic leadership to build a united and prosperous Nigeria.
The APC governors further expressed their confidence that “under the leadership of President Buhari, we shall continue to triumph over our challenges, while progressing to a stronger, prosperous and more peaceful nation”.
In a related development, the APC governors also celebrated one of their own and governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, on his 54th birthday.
They acknowledged his contributions to the team of progressive governors and the nation at large through what they described as his insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Niger State as well as at the national level.
According to the All Progressive Congress governors, Governor Abubakar Bello has, through all the development initiatives being implemented by his APC-led government, made the party a success story in the state.
The governors also reaffirmed their collective commitment to implement programmes that will strengthen the capacities of the progressive states to create jobs, reduce inequality, stimulate economic growth and diminish poverty in Nigeria.
