Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Gloria Diri, on Saturday visited the Diete Koki Memorial Hospital, Yenagoa, where she presented cash gifts and other items to parents of children delivered today.
The first Lady was accompanied by the Commissioner for Women, Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Mrs. Faith Opene and other top female officials of the state government.
The children, a set of all male triplets and another male child, Emmanuel Eduke Oyintonbra Duke, weighing 2.7Kg who arrived at about 12:17 am on New year’s day to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Eduke Oyintonbra Duke.
Recall that on Christmas day, Mrs Diri also displayed similar gesture when she visited the Family Support Hospital in the Ovom area of Yenagoa.
The “Christmas baby”, Emmanualla Daniel was born at 12:05am to the family of Mr and Mrs Daniel from Ebonyi state but resides in Bayelsa state.
The parents of all the children expressed gratitude to the first lady for her kindness and rare benevolence and wished her and the Prosperity Administration led by her husband, Governor Douye Diri well.
