Bayelsa United reliable forward, Okardi Inikurogha, has secured a two year deal with a French second division C side, Grenoble Foot 38.
The club confirmed the signing of the 17 year old striker who hails from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Okardi who sealed the move to Grenoble Foot 38 has been in the watchlist of top African clubs including CS Sfaxien of Tunisia and other Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) sides after his superlative display last season.
The combination of the trio of Okardi Inikurogha, Victory Beniangba and Emo James gave Bayelsa United, the Aiteo Cup Champions 34 goals in all competitions last season.
The former Prosperity Boys’ forward is expected to make his debut soon for the GF38 as the French side are nicknamed at the twenty thousand capacity Stade des Alpes, Grenoble.
Addressing the media shortly after the deal, Okardi Inikurogha said he was glad to be part of Grenoble Foot 38, stating that he was filled with joy, as the move would take his football to a greater level.
While thanking Almighty God, the dependable attacker appreciated those who facilitated the deal, especially his agent and his parent club Bayelsa United for their unrelenting support.
He equally thanked members of his family and friends for their unflinching support during the season.
Bayelsa United is yet to make an official statement concerning the details of the transfer and the agreed terms with the French club.
