Imo State-born United States-based beauty queen, Krystal Okeke has lauded the restoration of security in Imo State and appealed to indigenes of the state resident abroad but afraid of visiting home to discard such fear and visit their fatherland.
Okeke gave the commendation on July 12 when she paid a courtesy visit to the state Commissioner of Police, CP, Abutu Yaro in Owerri, the state capital.
The beauty queen thanked the CP for the opportunity of meeting him, saying it has afforded her the chance to appraise things, hear from the security chief and understand the security situation in the state.
She informed that Imolites in diaspora have negative impression about the security situation in the state and have phobia of not being willing to visit their fatherland .
She stated that the recent positive reports online that, Imo State is now a safe haven for all to visit and establish businesses informed her visit.
Okeke said entering the state and encountering stern-looking officers of “Operation Search and Flush” stationed on the roads, restored her lost confidence.
She therefore pledged her support for the Police Command and commended the CP Abutu Yaro for the efforts to combat violent crimes in the state.
The beauty queen also expressed delight, that night life has returned to the state and people are seen going about their lawful businesses without fear or harassment.
She called on lmolites in diaspora to seize the opportunity to visit home and celebrate the forthcoming yuletide.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abutu Yaro thanked the queen and wished her safe journey back to America.
He also assured Imolites, home and in diaspora of his commitment to sustain and improve on the already achieved peace and stability being enjoyed in the state.
