Joe Biden, president of the US, is stipulating a whole-of-government response to display disapproval to new laws in Texas that are opposing abortion.
He ventured into calling out the Supreme Court’s decision to stand by such law and accused this act of puncturing women’s rights.
The Supreme Court is seeing to it that people have the right to charge anyone who decided to have an abortion of pregnancy past 6 weeks to court.
Despite activists’ move to ensure the court blocked such law, the law was not blocked; while judges admit that deliberations were not on whether the law was wrong or right yet they expressed this law can be challenged legally.
Biden claims the court would be causing problems with this decision as this would put those in desperate need of reproductive care in peril.
He reportedly said the new law was contradicting a law in 1973 that legalised abortion across the country while the Republican Governor of Texas defended the new law by stating that the state he oversees would always defend the right to life.
The new law has been tagged Texas Heartbeat Act to foreground what anti-abortion activists term the heartbeat of a foetus.

Experts however admit that terming it a heartbeat is a misconception because at a certain stage a part of tissue exists that will become the heart in the later development stage of an embryo.
The law is giving power to any citizen to charge to court anyone who supports or assists in the case of abortion which equates to a citizen can demand 10,000 dollars in damages against doctors who prove abortions.
Although the law gives an exception to those with medical emergencies which would demand proof from the doctor, the exception does not cover rape survivors or incestual pregnancies.
