The body of Motunrayo John, a JSS student of Mount Carmel Ikare, Akoko Ondo State who was swept away by flood has been found after three days of searching.

Niger Delta Connect gathered that the victim, Motunrayo John was swept away around River Dada, in Semusemu area of the ancient town on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after leaving the school premises.
Niger Delta Connect also gathered that she was playing in the rain and was using her legs to measure the depth of the flood while going home, when she got swept away.
An eyewitness who preferred anonymity revealed that the victim was taken off balance and before help could reach her, the flood had taken her away.
The Divisional Police Officer for Ikare Akoko, Olatujoye Akinwale confirmed the discovery of the corpse to newsmen on Friday.

The DPO explained that lifeless body was discovered at the back of a hotel at Ugbe Akoko in Akoko North East LGA, adding that the corpse had been released to the family for burial.
The father of late Motunrayo, Ade John, described the death of his daughter as shocking, sad and devastating.
Ade who is a commercial motorcyclist from Iboropa Akoko recounted how he gave the deceased two hundred naira as transport fare from Ikare to Iboropa on the fateful day as he would not be available to pick her home but was later informed about she was swept away by flood.
He described Motunrayo as a kind and responsible child who would always carry out many domestic chores for the parents.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the unfortunate incident has thrown the household of the deceased as well as relatives and neighbours to mourning mood in the area.
