The Delta State Police Command has arrested a bouncer, Francis Utuedor, for fatally stabbing a teenage boy, Oghenemaro Eriana, at a wedding event in Mofor, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a wedding event on Saturday, September 25, when the secondary school student went to pick up some naira notes sprayed on the dancing couple and was grabbed and stabbed by an overzealous bouncer.
According to sources, the deceased, who lived along Kolokolo Street in Udu Road, had gone to the wedding party with his mother, who had recently earlier lost an older son two months before.
The deceased and his mother were apparently the groom’s neighbors, which explains their attendance at the wedding.
DSP Bright Edafe, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, verified the event and stated the culprit had been detained.
It happened at Wetland Hotel. The suspect is in our custody.
