BREAKING: Gunmen Kill Two Imo Monarchs

Unknown gunmen on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 opened fire on traditional rulers at Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, killing two of them instantly.

GunmenThe traditional rulers were holding a stakeholders meeting at the council headquarters at Nnenasa when the hoodlums struck.

The affected monarchs were Eze Anayo Durueburo, Obi 1 of Okwudor and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowere Autonomous community.

Our correspondent learnt that other traditional rulers sustained broken heads, hands and other bodily injuries.

As of the time of filing this report, the council headquarters was in a state of panic.

The police spokesperson in the state, Mike Abattam, said that two monarchs had been confirmed dead.
