Popular Nollywood star, Yul Edochie has spoken up about President Muhammadu Buhari’s trending trouser during his visit to Imo State.
The outfit which didn’t go down well with Nigerians subsequently stirred up lots of reactions on social media as Nigerians demanded to know the designer who made the attire.
Reacting to this, the 2023 presidential aspirant addressed the issue through a video he shared on his official Instagram page.
Yul Edochie noted that Buhari’s trousers should be the least of the masses’ problems since we are bothered with insecurities, robbery, and the price hikes in foodstuff.
He also mentioned a lot of anomalies that ought to be fixed in the country while insisting that as long as the leaders are fixing the problems we have in the country they can wear whatever they like or not even wear anything at all.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “My take on President Buhari’s trouser.”.
Recall that Yul ran for governor in Anambra State under the Democratic People’s Congress in 2017, and secured only 145 votes. He ran against 36 other governorship aspirants, including the incumbent governor, Willie Obtain. He was later appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Creative & Entertainment Media to the Anambra State Governor, in July 2018.
The actor, however, resigned a few months later and defected from APGA to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating his decision was in a bid to support the presidential ambition of the former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, who was the candidate of the party.
