A massive 7.6 earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia near Flores Island, making people flee for safety.

Another video depicts the damage caused by the vibrations within a building.
Wooden roof supports had collapsed, and sections of the ceiling lay on the ground in the footage. A snapshot shows a completely demolished house wall with trash on the street outside.

The 7.6 quake happened at a depth of 10kilometers off the coast of Indonesia, 71miles north of Maumere, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The islands have also been issued with a tsunami warning. Waves were “possible for coasts within 1,000kilometers of the Indonesia quake epicentre,” according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in the United States.
Due to the ground vibrations, hotel staff in Tanjun Bunga Makassar near Makassar City were evacuated.
Due to its location on the “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines within the Pacific Ocean basin, Indonesia is prone to earthquakes.
