The US Intelligence looked into the estimation of what might happen to international relations as long as climate change persists.

According to BBC News, there are disagreements on what to do in response to climate change and the ones who would be severely affected are poorer nations which usually are least able to invent ways to adapt to conditions.
The intelligence also stated the danger of countries acting on their own and inventing technologies to adapt to the situation, and that is used only in their countries.
The report calculated a future into 2040 where there would be rifts within international cooperation stirred by the presence of competition and self-centeredness.

The report was sent to Biden’s office in anticipation of his attending the impending Climate Summit that is aiming at proposing ideas on an international agreement.
They emphasised how the creation of future technology to counter the effects of Climate change for self, could increase war risks especially because this would only divert such a country’s climate problem to other sections of the world.
There are already projects embarked on by the EU, US, China, India, Australia and Russia to counter climate effects, but there have been no laws regarding the matter.

To avoid this, the report made recommendations for inventing technologies that could completely eradicate climate problems.
Erin Sikorsky who is director of this Intelligence stated that governments have been made to realise the way climate change is drastically threatening the landscapes of several nations.
Hence, it is now a matter of international security and it would be quite risky to have one country working for just self.
