A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has granted bail to Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Farah Dagogo.
Justice E A Obile in a fundamental right action and exparte application sought by Farah Dagogo ordered Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CID Port Harcourt, Deputy Superintendent of Police Commander police team government house, Attorney General of state and Chief Magistrate Amadi Nna to release the applicant from police detention and restore his personal liberty.
The court also issued an order of interim injunction restraining the respondents especially the police, the commander of government House, DSP Efeture Irifeke who is fourth respondents, the attorney general of the state and Chief Magistrate Amadi Nna from further instigating threatening, harassing and invading the person of the applicant.
The court equally retrained the respondents from further obstructing the applicant or hindering him, detaining in custody to obstruct him from further attending his screening and party primaries as well as other electoral processes.

Our Correspondent reports that while the court thereafter adjourned till 17th of May, 2022 for hearing, Innocent Ekwu who is the Counsel to Farah Dagogo explained in details while they filed the application for the client and the position of the court.
Responding to question on pending screening of Farah Dagogo, the lawyer said they have earlier written to the national leadership of the party on the circumstances and expressed hope that the party will do the needful now that his client is granted, knowing the implication of excluding from the process.
Recall that the case of PDP Governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo had again stalled at the high court in Port Harcourt following his absence in court.
Correspondent reports that Farah Dagogo is expected to take his plea at the high court, but was absent.
When the case was mentioned, Femi Adegbiti, counsel to Farah Dagogo informed the court that his client could not make it to court on ill health.
The presiding Judge, Justice Chiwendu Nwogu after listening to counsel, adjourned the case to the 16th of May 2022 for proper plea to be taken.
Speaking to journalists outside the courtroom, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Rivers State, Professor Zacchaeus Adango said on the next adjourned date, Farah is expected to be in court and take his plea.
