As of June 10, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 45 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
On Friday, June 11, the NCDC announced on its verified website.
It was noted that zero cases were reported in the following states: Akwa Ibom, Ekiti, FCT, Imo, Kano, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, and Sokoto.
The 45 new cases have been registered in Ondo-23, Lagos-15, Gombe-2, Katsina-2, Rivers-2, and Nasarawa-1, according to the Centre.
Since the first confirmed case of the COVID-19 pandemic was announced, the country has tested 2,180,444 people, according to the NCDC.
The total number of infections in the country was 167,027, with 163,413 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the agency.
The discharges included 75 community recoveries from the FCT that were managed by the FCT’s guidelines, according to the report.
No new deaths have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, according to the public health agency.
According to the NCDC, the national response activities were still being coordinated by a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, which was activated at Level 2.
Meanwhile, as of June 10, 2021, there were 1,497 active cases in the country.
