There have been various rumours surrounding Juventus star player, Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible exit from the club despite featuring in different pre-season games with his present club recently.
Ronaldo’s contract expires in June 2022 and there have been no further discussion to extend his contract at Juventus.
However, report has it that Ronaldo has been linked with Manchester City despite naming Harry Kane as their primary target to replace Sergio Aguero who joined Barcelona early last month and signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa some few weeks ago.
With Paris Saint-Germain signing Leonel Messi few days ago, it is reported that they have no intention of bringing in Ronaldo despite being also linked with the club of late.
Cristiano Ronaldo has come out to state it loud and clear on his Instagram page “I’m breaking my silence now to say that I can’t allow people to keep playing around with my name. I remain focused on my career and in my work, committed and prepared for all the challenges that I have to face.
Anyone who knows me is aware of how focused I am on my work. Less talk and more action, this has been my guiding motto since the start of my career. However, in view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position.
More than the disrespect for me as a man and as a player, the frivolous way that my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all the clubs involved in these rumours, as well as to their players and staff “.
He further said “My story at Real Madrid has been written. It’s been recorded. In words and numbers, in trophies and titles, in records and in headlines. It’s in the Museum at the Bernabeu Stadium and it’s also in the minds of every fan of the club. And beyond what I achieved, I remember that in those nine years I had a relationship of deep affection and respect that I retain to this day, and that I will always cherish. I know that the true Real Madrid fans will continue to have me in their hearts, and I will have them in mine.
As well as this most recent episode in Spain, there have been frequent news and stories associating me with a number of clubs in many different Leagues, with nobody ever being concerned about trying to find out the actual truth”.
To further buttress Cristiano Ronaldo’s point, Real Madrid new manager, Carlo Ancelotti in an official statement said “Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid legend and I really respect him. But I’ve never asked or planned to sign Cristiano this summer. We are now looking forward for Real future”.
Juventus have also stated clearly that they have no intention of releasing their valuable player this summer and there has never been any request received from any club to sign him.
With Serie A 2021/2022 season opening this weekend August 22, many Juventus fan will be willing to see Cristiano Ronaldo in the field of play as he intends to break more records.
Allegri, who had been with the club for five years (2014-2019) before his resignation recently, returned to Juventus as the New Head Coach last month as his side prepares to take on Udinese away from home as their opening match of the new season.
