The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State has picked Emana Duke-Amawhe (Emana Ambrose-Amawhe) as the running mate to its governorship candidate, Senator Sandy Ojang Onor.
She is an indigene of Akpabuyo Local Government Area and was a staff of Channels Television. She contested the PDP House Representatives primaries for Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency but lost to Rt. Hon. Essien Ayi.
It was gathered by reporters that she was screened by the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate Screening Committee in Abuja, yesterday.
A source told Newsmen that she was among the three names submitted by Senator Onor to the committee and was chosen by the lawmaker after the conclusion of the screening.
Emana Duke-Amawhe (Emana Ambrose-Amawhe) is an accomplished broadcaster, a media consultant and a business woman. She hails from Ikot Edem Odo in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Having been in the media industry for years, with a bag-full of experience, Emana has interacted and work with season politicians, business moguls, NGOs, Civil Society Organizations and relevant bodies, which places her in a good-standing position in view of attracting the needed development for her people.
Between 2015 – 2019, she was a Senior Presenter/Reporter, Channels Media Group with over five years career experience in Channels Television (Nigeria’s Leading News Television) including anchoring programmes, planning and production of programmes, and Daily News Broadcasts.
She was also a Producer, Ondo State and Edo State Governorship Debates.
