Recall that on the early hours of Saturday, 5 undergraduate students of the Ignatius Ajuru University who were returning from a night club in Port Harcourt lost their lives in a car accident.
The sector commander, Salisu Galaduncci who made this known when he visited the site of the incident, explained that from eyewitness the five students were under the influence of alcohol.
He cautioned motorists and drivers on the speed limit on high way and commensurate with the families of the decease.
Galaduncci also urged community leaders to check activities of illegal truck parking in their area to avoid similar incidents
He also expressed worry over the way parent bring up children, and warned that parent should properly talk to their wards but not to spoil them with money.
The Commander who confirmed that the 5 where under the influence of alcohol also condoled with their families.
He further assured that the agency is doing her best to reduce to risk associated with road accidents.
Our correspondent reports that the five friends were identified as Kelvin Dark, Kayii Ndii Divine, students of University of Port Harcourt, Joy and Rejoice were 300 and 200 level English and Communication Arts students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and an unidentified female were all in the car.
Eyewitness account revealed that Kelvin who was driving reportedly had too much to drink and consequently rammed into a parked truck in the area which caused the fatal accident.
However, some concerned residents of the state also called on the youths to desist from illegal intake of drugs to avoid more loss of lives.
The corpses have now been moved to an unidentified mortuary.
