The National Chairman of the group, Honourable Michael Diden, disclosed the rationale behind the meeting, informing them, of the group’s new slogan , ‘On Okowa we stand, on Okowa we stand, anywhere Okowa goes, we go’.
Hon. Diden, noted that the campaign train is a moving one and enjoined all pro- as well as anti- Okowa to join without any hesitation.
He however reaffirmed the resolve of the group to stand by the decision of Governor Okowa on his choice of successor.
The Deputy National chairman of the group, Mr.Bashorun Askia Ogieh also spoke in the same vein reiterating the need for the group to throw its weight behind the governor.
Mr. Ogieh, who is also the managing director of DESOPADEC, stated that their resolve to support the decision of the incumbent Governor stands, and hence declaring publicly their stance on who succeeds Senator Okowa in 2023.
He added that the smart governor needs all the support to ensure his successor continues in the same trajectory of administrative successes.
Mr. Ogieh further disclosed that the group will ensure that all the organs of the group are activated fully to actualize the wish of the Governor.
Also speaking the Director General of the group, Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe warned against members working against the collective decision of the group for little financial gains, but urged members to stand firm in their support for the governor.
The member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Thomas Ereyitomi called on members to ensure total support for the governor in producing a successor.
Ereyitomi disclosed that the group,Delta political Vanguard was formed at the instance of the Governor in lieu of the 2015 governorship election, hence the members of the group are products of the Governor.
The meeting was attended by executives of Delta Political Vanguard from the 25 local government areas of the state.
