Following the recent security challenges in Nigeria which has made some youths criticize the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, the United Nations (UN) Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed has urged Nigerian youths to work towards the unity of the country rather than resorting to criticisms.
Amina took time to encourage Nigerian youths to desist from criticizing the current administration but rather concentrate more on building the country with their God given skills and talents.
Amina’s statement which was titled “Be proud of Nigeria, don’t condemn her, don’t lose hope”; was signed and issued by the National Information Officer, United Nations Office, Nigeria, Oluseyi Soremekun.

The UN Chief implored Nigerian youths to be proud of their country while hoping for a better future.
“You have got education, you have the tools, and you have a huge future ahead of you, and you are condemning yourself before you start on that journey. Do not do that! Be proud of Nigeria your country; do not condemn her and do not lose hope.
“Whilst I agree that the potential of this country has not been fully met by successive governments, but I disagree with the view that there is no hope; I disagree with total condemnation of Nigeria. Nigeria is a great country and the best on earth.”
Amina added that the vast spread of insecurity in Nigeria can only be tackled with a collective effort; and that Nigeria will experience yet another peaceful era only if everyone accept to work together in peace, harmony and oneness.
