A pro-Biafra agitation group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has urged Pastor Williams Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church to shelve his scheduled crusade in Abia State.
In a statement endorsed by the spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Emma Powerful today, IPOB warned Pastor Kumuyi to stop the planned crusade of the church at Aba due to the prevailing security situation in the south east, including Aba in Abia State.
The group noted that the security of the south east region is not good because of political and criminal activities and advised Pastor Kumuyi to stop the crusade for security reasons.
He explained that the possibility of criminals, who usually operate under the guise of ‘unknown gunmen’, infiltrating the event is high, while IPOB might later be blamed for any death that may occur during the crusade as a result of the actions of the criminals.
He stressed that the group would not allow anybody to die during this crusade that is scheduled to hold in Aba and, therefore, charged the organisers of the crusade to make sure that nothing happens.
He further announced that the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, ably led by their great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wishes to advise the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Kumuyi, to take note of the security situation in South East as he comes to Aba for his gospel crusade.

The group urged Pastor Kumuyi to pray against wicked leaders and saboteurs in Biafra land and Nigeria, noting that they are the real problem of the people. They encouraged him to use the opportunity to pray against the powers holding people captive in Nigeria and to pray for an end to the insecurity in Biafra land, if he can.
They further charged Christians and men of God in ‘Biafra land’ to engage God in fervent prayers to expose all those behind the insecurity in their land.
