Authorities of the Bayelsa State Police Command have pledged to maintain adequate security before, during, and after the Easter celebration in the state.

The Command’s Spokesman, Asinim Butswat said in a statement that the command has prepared a comprehensive operation order to effectively cover the state during the festive period.

He listed places to be covered to include houses of worship, recreational centres, flash points and all critical infrastructure in the state, in order to limit crime and ensure the safety of residents.

Butswat informed that the measures were put in place to ensure a hitch free and peaceful Easter celebration and urged the public to always be on alert.

The Police spokesman added that any suspicious activity should be swiftly reported to the nearest security service or such activities can be reported to the Police Control Room numbers on 07034578208 or 08075390597.

He extended the wishes of the Commissioner of Police and other officers in the Command to Bayelsans and the general public for a peaceful Easter celebration.
