The police command in Ebonyi state has warned all the native doctors to quickly avoid giving chance to desist from giving charms to criminals for carrying out criminal activities in the state.
DSP Loveth Odah who is the public relations officer (PPRO) said this on Friday at Abakaliki while in an interview with NAN the News Agency of Nigeria.
Loveth stated that the police command is seriously committed to protecting the lives and properties of the state and the country at large, urging all native doctors who render charms to criminals to quickly stay clear from all unlawful practices in the sate.
The News Agency Nigeria said on April 30 that decomposed bodies of two men were found in a shallow grave at Uduku-Igbudu forest in Agubia, Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state.
The bodies were allegedly abducted and buried alive in the forest by the abductors, according to the PPRO she said the victims were blindfolded as at the time they were found; including two native doctors, who have been arrested by the police.
According to Odah, the deceased were blindfolded while ropes were tied to their necks when their decomposing bodies were exhumed by the police.
“We went to the forest with experts and the bodies have been exhumed and handed over to their relatives for burial and police investigation is at the concluding stage,’’ she said.
The police public relations officer explained that the two native doctors were said to have abducted the two young men on the 12 of April to ensure that pressure is put on them to withdraw a case that was in court that involves two persons.
