The Clerk of Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr. Bode Aladeyelu, a member of the House, Mr. Felemugudu Bankole, and two civil servants has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) over an allegation of fraud.
Niger Delta Connect gathered that the alleged persons were invited by the anti-graft agency last week in connection to an alleged fraud case committed in 2019.
A source close to the Assembly confirmed the incident on Sunday saying that the alleged persons were subsequently detained as they reported to the commission’s office in response to the invitation.
“It is true. The Clerk of the House and Hon. Felemugudu Bankole, along with two civil servants in the Assembly are there in the EFCC’s custody. They were detained there”, the source said.
