The prestigious English FA Cup final will be holding Saturday, May 15 as Chelsea FC squares up against Leicester City at Wembley.
It will be recalled that Chelsea were defeated by Arsenal during last year’s FA Cup final under the former Ex-Chelsea footballer and manager, Frank Lampard which denied him of winning any trophy as a coach before he was sacked and replaced by the German, Thomas Tuchel.
However, with the outstanding performance of the former PSG Manager, Tuchel, since his arrival at Stanford Bridge after leading the club to its FA Cup and Champions League final this season, he will be looking forward to making history as he prepares to win his first trophy as new Chelsea manager.
The German’s FA Cup record from the point of arrival has been most impressive, winning all five matches enroute to the final, including defeating Manchester City by a lone goal.
Chelsea have won the FA Cup eight times with the last win being against Manchester United in 2018.
On the other hand, Leicester City, who are presently third in the Premier League table, would also be aiming at claiming the title with Brendan Rodgers also hoping to claim his first title with the club.
Leicester City have qualified for the FA Cup final more than any other English club, without lifting the trophy.
The Foxes record is equally intimidating as they have won their last matches with the most recent being a 3-1 win over Manchester United.
With Brendan Rodgers’ men having defeated Manchester United by 2-1 in their last Premier League meeting away to remain third position on the table, many fans believe Leicester City are at advantage over Thomas Tuchel’s men, who were defeated by Arsenal few days ago.
As both teams struggle among the top four in the Premier League table with few games remaining, Saturday’s FA Cup result will go a long way boosting the C.V.s of both managers with their new roles in their clubs.
