The former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd) is to chair the presentation of the book, ‘Reflection on the Igbo Question’ written by Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The state Commissioner for Information, Declan Emelumba disclosed this on Wednesday at a news briefing in Owerri, the state capital.
Emelumba further disclosed that the book presentation will hold on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Eze Imo Palace, Mbari Street, Owerri.
According to him, the book clearly addresses the plight of Ndigbo in the Project Nigeria and should be read by all Nigerians who wish to understand the Igbo better.

Emelumba said; “This book reflects His Excellency’s thought on the existential challenges that Igbo face in Nigeria. Where he addressed the question of Igbo marginalization, whether real or imaginary, where he also addressed the question of the plight of Ndigbo in the Project Nigeria
“Where he poured out his ideas on what he thinks are the possible solutions and where he addresses also the question of which way forward for Igbo.
“I think it is a very exciting book, a book that not only the Igbo, but every Nigerian should read, so they will understand, not just the plight of the Igbo, but also feel the pulse of Igbo and be able to understand them more. It x-rays so much about what is the Igbo question and the way he thinks we can find solutions to the equations”.
Emelumba described it as a very unique occasion, because it falls within the governor’s birthday, even as presentation of the book is part of his birthday package.
He added that the who-is-who in Igbo land will be on ground to savour the academic delicacy from the governor.
The commissioner further disclosed that the royal father of the day will be the Obi Nnaemeka Achebe, father of the day, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the book presenter will be Prince Charles Amadi, while the book reviewer will be Prof. Chima Nwanguma from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
