There seem to be a change in decision by very controversial politician and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode over taking of the COVID-19 vaccine being administered to Nigerians all over the country.
It would be recalled that Fani-Kayode who has been in the news for a lot of reasons had sometime last year warned Nigerians against taking the Covid-19 vaccine saying it was some sort of plan to “kill millions of Nigerians” with the vaccine.
Fani-Kayode had recently disclosed this via his twitter handle sometime in 2020.
However, in a twist of events, same Fani-Kayode has gone on to take the vaccine yesterday, March 30, 2021, he revealed this via his twitter handle where posted some reasons for his change in decision, saying the vaccine he took, was not the same vaccine proposed by foremost tech billionaire, Bill Gates.
He tweeted:
The Covid vaccines we are taking in Nigeria are not Bill Gates’ vaccines and neither are we being used as Guinea pigs. These ones are tried & tested, have already been approved & have been administered successfully throughout the world. This is the Oxford Azrazeneca brand.
The U-turn decision made by Fani-Kayode has been greeted with a lot of reactions from Nigerians on social media.
Although there are speculations that the former Minister’s move to get vaccinated may be a political one given his recent romance with some stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress, including the Governor of Kogi State, it is quite unclear if Fani-Kayode has finally come to a realization that the vaccine, irrespective of its supplier, is purely a health measure and not some “depopulation move’ by Bill Gates.
Fani-Kayode also in his series of tweets disclosed his will to never take any vaccine linked with Bill Gates.
..There is a world of difference between what we are being given in Nigeria & the exploratory vaccines that @WHO had wanted to test Africans with which we spoke against & resisted last year. Most importantly Bill Gates& his foundation have no connection with Oxford Azrazeneca. 2/
