Popular singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido has reminisced about his past, going back to when he did not have money and fame but just his dreams and friends that were in the struggle to make money with him.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the music superstar shared a picture of himself holding crisp Dollar notes in his old apartment where he lived 12 years ago with Sina and B-Red.
Acknowledging God for what he has achieved so far, he prayed God for the journey ahead and urged his fans never to stop believing because his journey in itself is a motivation. In the tweet, Davido thanked God for the millions he has made and hoping for the millions to roll in as he said ‘… road to a billion”.
Damn, I went to my old apartment where I used to live 12 years ago with Sina and B red!!! As hard as it is to believe .. we had no money .. no support just us and a dream !! 12 years later ! We millions in ! Road to a billion 💵!!! We thank God !! Never stop believing !

Fans and followers have found the tweet insensitive as the ‘Jowo’ crooner comes from a very wealthy home and has one of the richest fathers in the country, and they were not sure there was ever a time he had no money, thus sparking reactions. Meanwhile, some others are tapping into the motivation of the musician’s story.
No disrespect Davido but I find it hard to believe u had no money or support when u were an upcoming artiste cos u always talked abt ur dad’s wealth. Besides I see n¤ reason why u are f!aunt!ng m¤ney in the p!cs, doing things like this m!slead a l¤t of people. It’s d!scouraging.

Like Priskey above, another fan said he is just making mockery of peopel who do not have money, asking somewhat rhetorically, “how can Davido say he was broke at some point in time?”
