A final year student of Benue university who is an anti cultism campaigner has been killed by cultists on 31 July.
A 500 level student of the federal University of Agriculture Markudi, Benue state, named Igyagher Isaac has been killed by a supposed cult group.
It was reported that the deceased was killed on Friday night, July 31, in a house around Gabiz Hotel, opposite Benue Judges Lodge, Makurdi.
Following the report from an eyewitness, Isaac was killed and his dead body was put on the heap of his clothes and burnt by the supposed members of two cultism group known as Aye and Vikings confraternity. But details concerning his death remains incomplete, although, his close friends and course mates revealed that Isaac happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time that Isaac they knew was not a cultist.
It was gathered that the deceased led an anti-cultism campaign last year 2020 a movement he started in order to eradicate cultism his school, Japhet Terseer stated as seen on lindsikejiblog on instagram.
Many people has condemned the killing while others blamed the student on why he chose to risk his life to go after cultism in school since is not a thing of today and some of them were found way back 1970 and 1985 that Nigeria is not a place where activism sees the light of the day. Others said he might be a cultist who decided to work against his group by turning into an activist.
