It was gathered that the incident which took place earlier hours of yesterday within Omudioga community in Emohua comes barely two days after similar incident occurred in a commercial bus where persons were abducted along Omudioga axis of Omoku-Elele axis of the road.
The Commander of OSPAC in Omudioga community, Alex Umeurike who confirmed the attack said the hoodlums invaded the community broke into the house of their targets and kidnapped two of their victims and later moved to the main road along the axis to kidnap two others victims.
“At the early hours of today, I received a call from one of my men, after that one of the members of the community also called me to inform me on the same story. I and my men went to the scene to see for ourselves.
“They damaged the house, took them away, the same group, maybe on their way, took another operation where they kidnapped two persons again.
“We are on top of the matter as I speak, the Emohua police DPO is aware and we are working with the police to investigate the matter and arrest suspects.”
Umezurike complained that although the whereabouts of the victims are still unknown, saying that the operation would not have been possible if not for the shock of announcement of disbandment of OSPAC which have demoralized them.
“For now I don’t know where they took them to. That is why we are not happy with the announcement of OSPAC disbandment. If we were in full operation, I can assure you that this thing would not have happened.”
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing the report, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to make official statement on the incidents of kidnap in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
