No fewer than four persons are feared dead as a truck ran into students of Idito High School in Ibadan.
The auto crash is said to have occurred along Olodo Iwo road in Ibadan, reports Saharareporters.
The incident has reportedly caused agitation among youths in the area, who decried the incessant loss of lives along the highway under similar circumstances.
The action of the angry mob led to the vandalising, and burning down of vehicles at the scene of the area.
It was gathered that the students were on a motorcyle when the truck ran into them and crushed them to death.
The incident has reportedly caused a huge traffic in the area as vehicular movement were paralyzed as a result of the combination of the crash and subsequent vandalism.
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Uche Winifred Chukwurah has confirmed the incident, adding that six people were involved in the crash, four died, one injured while one of them recovered before getting to the hospital.
Officers of the Oyo State Police command, Operation Burst as well as Amotekun have been drafted to the scene to forestall any breakdown of law and order in the area.
