Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, says Bayern Munich are the favourites to lift the Champions League title instead of his lads.
Guardiola’s men are one foot into the quarter-final stage, following their 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, on Wednesday evening.
Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus scored the two goals to secure the win for City, who have now won their last 19 games in all competitions.
According to Daily Post, the Spaniard still feels the current Champions League holders, who hammered Lazio 4-1 in their last-16 first-leg tie on Tuesday, are better placed to win the Champions League this term despite his boys’ impressive form so far this season.
He told BT Sport:
“When I see Bayern Munich I don’t think we are favourites. My target is West Ham in three days.
“If people say we are favourites, we have to accept it, but a team who, in their whole history, has been to a semi-final once? OK, they say it, we have to accept it.”
