Highest award in Central Bank of Ireland won by a Nigerian

The highest award in central bank of Ireland has been won by a Nigerian lady known as Nono Okeke. Okeke, has made herself proud by winning the ‘Spotlight Award’ which is the highest award anyone can win in the central bank.

Okeke dedicated the Spotlight Award to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, who is the first woman and African to hold this position.

Nono Okeke took to Twitter to reveal that she just won Central Bank of Ireland’s highest award.

“So this happened yesterday! I work in Central Bank of Ireland and yesterday I won the “Spotlight Award” which is the highest award you can ever win in Central Bank. Still in shock! Ngozi Iweala is the woman that motivates me to work viciously hard! I dedicate this award to her”, In her words 

Nigerians also took to the comment section of the post to congratulate Okeke on her achievement, and encouraged her to keep winning.

@faveauchuks wrote: “Love to see this…keep winning big big.

@iamnancie_14 commented: “Congratulations Dear. I am happy to see you succeed and live your dreams.”

@Phat_angel commented: “Wow, its a breath of fresh air to see good News and great achievements from my fellow Nigerians. All the bad news is so tiring lately. Congratulations Dear. Let’s pop champagne.”
