He said other areas the Shell contractor violated include refusing to implement the 50 percent semi skilled and 10 percent skilled employment opportunities and other benefits contained in the agreement.
They insisted that until Morpol Engineering Services Limited implements the agreement entered with the community, their operations will remain shut down.
The people also accused SPDC of not also keeping to their part in the GMOU and MOU entered with them despite drilling from nine oil wells and one manifold in the community, adding that all peaceful efforts to attract the attention of Shell has not yielded fruits.
The community therefore called on the Bayelsa State and Federal Government to prevail on the oil giant to implement the GMOU and MOU entered with them, having exhausted all peaceful means required.
