Chairman of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, (ICSAN), Akwa Ibom State chapter, Ime Asibong, has said the body through its programmes has been empowering youths in the state for better job opportunities.
Asibong said before the establishment of ICSAN in the state, many indigene youths were unfit to get employment in high profile corporate organisations due to the lack of requisite skills needed in such organisations.
He added that with the establishment of ICSAN in Akwa Ibom, many of such youths have taken advantage of the opportunities offered by the institute to become valuable players in the corporate world as well as grow private entities into corporate businesses.
He revealed that many youths who have passed the examinations of the Institute and have been inducted were now serving in corporate organisations outside the state, adding that even politicians are part of the training in the institute, which has helped in governance.
Speaking on Thursday about the 3rd ICSAN, Akwa Ibom State Chapter Annual Conference and Dinner, scheduled to hold today Friday, September 24, 2021 at Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort in Uyo, the Chairman said the Institute has helped to promote capacity building, accountability and professionalism in both the public and private sectors of the state.
