McMatthy Nigeria LTD an indigenous company with expertise in construction, engineering, environmental services, marine and logistics services has organized a get-together for her staff, friends and families.

Company

According to the General Managing, Etele Omietimi, the occasion was organized to create a strong unity and bond among staff members and also to announce the company to the larger world.

Speaking during the event which took place on January 1, 2022 at the company’s office along NIT road, Yenagoa the Bayelsa capital, Omietimi said the company started within a family and has grown to a global stage bidding and executing jobs for multinationals and state governments across the country.

He said the success recorded so far shows the resilience and strong leadership drive of the management.

Omietimi said, “God has been great to us. We have walked our way out of toxic path because we started small as a company of three family members, but as we speak today we are proud to say we are now internationally known because we are a consultant to Chevron Nigeria Limited, Agip in Environmental services, First E and P in Marine and Logistics services. We are proud to say that we have Cecon Construction Norway as our international partners . We have been able to provide vessels support for FPSO Abigail Joseph at the Anyalu/Madu OML83/85 oil field which is a rare feat for an indigenous company.

“All these achievements are due to our mindset and commitments because we are known as an indigenous company but with a global point of reference and hopefully in the years to come we will be known all over the world in constructions, environmental services, community engagement and marine and logistics services.“

In his remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Ebipatei Apaingolo, a former Commissioner of Environment in Bayelsa State, said people should emulate the resilient spirit of Sele-epri Matthew the founder and CEO of McMatthy who perseveres and is development enthusiastic .

His words, “Sometimes some persons will say this man , Sele-epri is very lucky because God has blessed him but there is nothing such as lucky, rather what people call luck is opportunity meeting preparations. He prepared years ago and today he is reaping from hard labour, focus and his tenacity of purpose and of course, he has been a true servant of the Almighty God.

“In whatever you do always make God your guide and that is what he and his company did and today they are reaping the results of it. Learn a lesson and take a cue from Sele-epri through his resilient leadership because it is not easy to attain success.”

On his part, the CEO McMatthy, Deacon Sele-epri Matthew who also doubles as the chairman of Keffes Rural Development Foundation thanked all those who took the time to celebrate and rejoice with him and staff members.
