Flirting is a pretty enigmatic game we play all the time with people we’re attracted to. It can be pretty obvious but also pretty confusing. Friendship is often easily mistaken for flirting. For some people, flirting is how they relate to others. They laugh, they make eye contacts, they touch arms, and they shower people with compliments.
Commonly, people understand flirting as something people only do when they’re trying to get an attractive person into their bed, or into a relationship
How to tell if a guy is flirting with you, the gestures in the way he acts around you, the things he says, and how often he impresses you that give him away. These are obviously the signs everyone knows: like trying to kiss you, offering to help you all the time, or suggesting a date. But what about the subtler hints?
These 5 dead giveaway clues are how to tell if a guy is flirting with you:
1. He gets flustered around you easily:
He forgets how to string sentences together even when you haven’t said anything. His nervousness shows that he’s afraid he won’t impress you, or that you’re out of his league. Sometimes you totally throw him off just with a look.
2.He’s constantly making eye contact:
His eyes never leave yours and pierce through you when you talk. It’s as if he can’t get enough, and he looks for little flickers of attraction in your pupils. If he holds your gaze for longer than 10 seconds, it’s because he’s totally into you.
3. He teases you:
Have you ever heard the concept that the boy who used to push you over in the schoolyard was the boy with a crush on you? This still applies as an adult. If he always teases you, or light-heartedly makes fun of you, it’s because he likes you.
4. He makes any excuse to touch you:
When he gets really touchy feely with you, it’s a sign he wants to be close to you at all times. This need to touch you, even if it’s just a gentle pat on the back or brushing something out of your hair, shows he can’t get enough of you.
5. He can’t stop fidgeting:
You notice every time you’re around him, he gets restless. He’s constantly playing with his hair, shifting from foot to foot, or mirroring your movements. This constant messing around is a way of adjusting so he gets comfortable around you, while mirroring you to try and gauge a common ground. It’s a weird thing, but almost everyone does it when they feel flirty.
