Nigerian actress, model and media personality Nancy Isime has recounted how she struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts after losing her mum at an early age.
The 29-year-old stated this in an interview published by BBC Pidgin on Wednesday, February 24, she said she lost her mum when she was five years old and attempted suicide as a child.
The TV host started working at the age of 17, and was exposed to things she was not supposed to be exposed to at that early age, she was initially planning to leave the country with her little savings but decided to stay back and leverage the opportunities here in Nigeria.
On how she battled depression, she revealed she focused on her mental health by going for therapy sessions, work outs and meditations.
