The companies owned by the Obinocha, Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State indigene are Obiron Electrical and Electronics, Obinocha Bread, Mimi’s Place, Boss 98.9 FM, Owerri and AllSeasons Hotel Owerri.

The management of the Group of Companies disclosed this in a memo dated June 6, 2022 and signed by the Chairman/Group Chief Executive Officer, Evangelist Myke Ikoku.

The memo said the measure is informed by the present realities and to encourage the people to actively decide and determine their future and that of generations unborn.

The management reminded members of staff that the permanent voter’s card qualifies them to vote, be voted for and to vote in any referendum or cause any real political change.

It gave instances of the mid-western region which was created in 1963 through a referendum, the excision of Southern Cameroon from Nigeria in 1961 to join Cameroon while Northern Cameroon left Cameroon to join Nigeria through a referendum.

Meanwhile, a staff of AllSeasons Hotel Owerri said he has been making efforts to get registered so as to obtain his PVC to no avail.

According to him, the crowd at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Office located at the Secretariat of the Owerri Municipal Council and other centres are too much that registration is a challenge.

He prayed that the management will help members of staff having challenges of registration to do so.

Recall that campaign for indigenes of the South East region to obtain their PVC in readiness for the upcoming general elections in 2023 has heightened across the region.

Individuals especially aspirants to different elective political offices have placed advertorials and commercials in print and electronic media urging their supporters to obtain their PVC to enable them effect the desired changes in the polity.
