The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State says the party has accepted the resignation of its Publicity Secretary, Ogubundu Nwadike.

Nwadike announced his resignation via a letter dated 14th September, 2021 and addressed to the state Chairman of the party, Chief Charles Ugwuh.
The party acknowledged receipt of his letter on 15th September, 2021 via it’s stamp dated same day.
The State Working Committee of the PDP Imo State after deliberation said it has accepted the decision of Mr. Ogubundu Nwadike and wished him well in his future endeavours.
In a statement signed by Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mazi Emenike Nmeregini, the party informed the general public that there is no vacuum in the office.

According to the party, Mazi Emenike Nmeregini had since assumed duties being the Assistant State Publicity Secretary of the party as provided by the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party, pending when an official appointment will be made to replace the former Publicity Secretary.
The party urged its members and supporters to remain steadfast to the ideals of the party.
Nwadike, who also resigned his membership of the PDP has pitched his tent with the rival All Progressives Congress, APC.
He has already been hosted by top members of the APC including the speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Paul Emeziem and the state Caretaker Committee of the party led by Marcellinus Nlemigbo.
